OUR LADY OF LOURDES PRAYER CARD “I do not promise to make you happy in this world, but in the other.” Our Lady of Lourdes In 1858, a young girl was out gathering firewood near a grotto when a beautiful Lady appeared. Wearing a white dress with a blue sash, this Lady was holding a Rosary and had two yellow roses at each foot. Bernadette Soubirous kneeled and prayed at the sight of this lovely Lady. This Lady asked Bernadette to have a chapel be built next to the grotto, pray for the conversion sinners, and drink from the water that appeared in the grotto, which has since been documented to thousands of medical healings. The Lady appeared a last time to Bernadette on the Feast of the Annunciation, declaring that she is the Immaculate Conception.
