OUR LADY OF GUADALUPE PRAYER CARD “Let not your heart be disturbed. Do not fear that sickness, nor any other sickness or anguish. Am I not here, who is your Mother? Are you not under my protection?” Our Lady of Guadalupe In December of 1531, a man named Juan Diego was traveling to Mass when a lady appeared to him. Dressed as an Aztec princess, the Lady sent Juan Diego to the bishop to have a chapel built were she appeared. The Bishop declared to have a sign of proof of the Lady’s appearance. The Lady told Juan Diego to climb up the hill and gather roses to take to the Bishop as a sign. Since it was the middle of December, Juan Diego was in shock to see such beautiful flowers covering the hill, which was like a desert.
